Wednesday 17th July a.m.
A bright start with a temperature of 14° on Harden Moor where I started off with a
Little Owl in its usual spot.The bird of the morning was
Whitethroat, I saw at least ten across the Moor some of which were carrying food for young.There were several
Willow Warblers and two each of
Garden Warbler and
Blackcap were seen and
Goldfinch were flocking to the Thistle seeds.Overhead a
Grey Heron, Swift, Swallow, House Martin and
Lapwings were seen. Others were
Kestrel, Linnet, Mistle Thrush, Meadow Pipit, Wren and plenty Butterflies.
