Friday 15th May a.m.
A wonderful start to the day with blue skies & plenty sunshine with a temperature of 6°C as we headed through Denholme Clough. We were greeted with a
Chiffchaff singing which we caught a brief glimpse of, as we went along the path at the side of the beck a
Dipper flew past.On the other side of the valley a
Jay was keeping an eye on passers by briefly breaking cover for a snap.Further along we saw a
Grey Wagtail in the distance & eight
Sand Martins were over head. There were also plenty of
Willow Warblers around singing as was a couple of Wrens. When we reached Doe Park reservoir it was very quiet with just a couple of
Mallards & a
Moorhen seen. The highlight of the walk back was when a couple of Deer went across the beck.
