Monday 4th May a.m.
When we arrived at Redcar Tarn it was cloudy with some spells of sunshine & a temperature of 10°C.
We first had a look at the pond which is on the other side of the road to the Tarn where we saw
BH Gull,Moorhen,Coot,Lapwing & a great surprise & a first for us here a
Dunlin.Walking around the Tarn we got our first two
Swifts of the year & feeding over the water were
Swallows,a
Curlew flew over & on the water were the usual birds.Several of the Coots were on nests We went & had another look at the Dunlin also seeing
Skylarks displaying & one singing high up into the sky.
