Monday 4th May a.m.
We started the morning off at Harden Moor where there was a strong wind blowing,the sun was shining though with a temperature of 8°C.We passed the
Sand Martins in their usual spot & heard the call of a
Cuckoo & today got a view of it as it was chased by a
Meadow Pipit.Some
Willow Warblers were around singing, we spotted the usual
Redpolls along with other species.We were happy to re-locate the
Garden Warbler with also a second bird.It was singing from more cover this time making a snap difficult, then it went into a tree above.This would normally be a good opportunity for a snap but the wind was blowing the tree branches making it much more difficult.We got a couple of snaps & decided to move on to Redcar tarn,report to follow...
