Wednesday 3rd May a.m.
A bright start with a temperature of 5°C but a bit windy as I headed off to do a tour of the outer edge of the village. It was good to get my first
Whitethroat of the year in the usual spot, although it was a bit camera shy, also here
Willow Warbler,Swallow,Song Thrush,Robin,Grey Heron,Chiffchaff,Wren and
Goldfinch.Later on the edge of the moor I picked up
Linnet,Mipit,Pied Wagtail and a pair of
Pheasants.Walking along to a large private pond which is overlooked from the footpath I saw
Canadas and
Coot, and a bit further I added
Mallards.
