Cullingworth & Hewenden Reservoir

Saturday 2nd March a.m.
A cloudy morning with a few sunny intervals and a temperature of 7°C as I made my way through Cullingworth and on to Hewenden viaduct over looking the reservoir. It was good to see the return of two Oystercatchers on the bank of the Reservoir, these were with fifteen Canadas. There were a couple of Herring Gulls on the dam wall with several BH Gulls, a couple of Cormorants were in the water and nine Teal were feeding in the reservoir overflow.
When I got to the top end of the reservoir things livened up when I spotted a Treecreeper and a Nuthatch in the wooded area.On the water were more Teal, four Goldeneye, two Wigeon an a Goosander. Others included Coot, Moorhen, Mistle Thrush and Pied Wagtail.
