Sunday 3rd March a.m.
A cloudy morning with a temperature of 5°C as I made my way to the Lake at Lister Park where there were c100
BH Gulls, C100
Canadas, 40
Tufteds, 10
Greylags with the other usual suspects. Good to start with a
Grey Wagtail and two
Goosanders were present although the drumming of a
GSW soon drew me away to the stream above in the wooded area. There were three
GSWs very mobile calling and occasionally drumming, I eventually caught up with one for a few pics. There was a mixed flock of
Siskin,Goldfinch and
Goldcrest feeding on the trees, in the distance a
Treecreeper showed briefly.A
Long-tailed Tit was paired up and collecting nesting material, others were
Nuthatch, Greenfinch, Chaffinch and
Song Thrush.
