Saturday 23rd March a.m.
A cloudy morning with a temperature of 5°C as I walked down to Hallas Bridge and alongside Hallas Beck through Goit Stock Wood to the caravan park.It was good to see three
Dippers en route one sporting a leg ring A50. Others seen were
Mallard, Cormorant,Canadas,Goldcrest and a noisy
Song Thrush. As I headed back it was good to see the flash of blue as a
Kingfisher flew past, and coming back on the other side of the Beck a group of seven
Jays were seen and I also heard and then saw my first
Chiffchaff of the year.
