Sunday 19th April a.m.
A sunny morning with a chilly start at just 4°C where a walk round Harden Moor was good exercise.
I was delighted to hear a
Cuckoo and later getting a distant view, this is slightly later than my earliest sighting of a Cuckoo on the 16th April 2015. A couple of
Oystercatchers were in the quarry and there were plenty of
Willow Warblers, singing a different tune was a male
Blackcap. A pair of
Linnets showed well, others seen included
Chiffchaff, Mipit, Pied Wagtail, Skylark, Robin, Rook and
Song Thrush.
